The 26th China International Industry Fair (CIIF 2026) opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai on October 12. At the New Materials Industry Exhibition (Booth E248, Hall 7.2H), Alioth presented its proprietary filtration membranes and filter devices—and took home the CIIF New Materials Award for its high-performance PES filtration membrane developed for the biopharmaceutical industry.

This year's New Materials Industry Exhibition brought together 300 leading companies and innovators around six core themes, including biomanufacturing and life sciences. At the Alioth booth, visitors found end-to-end pharmaceutical filtration solutions—from depth filtration, liquid prefiltration, sterilizing filtration and virus filtration to filtration hardware and laboratory filtration—drawing steady interest and technical discussion from industry peers throughout the event.
Award Recognition | CIIF New Materials Award
At the awards ceremony held on opening day, Alioth received the New Materials Award for its high-performance PES filtration membrane for the biopharmaceutical industry. The award was accepted on behalf of the company.
The CIIF award is granted only after a rigorous, multi-stage evaluation—written review, on-site defense, and expert panel assessment—to recognize new materials that break through critical bottlenecks and advance industrial upgrading. For Alioth, the recognition validates both the technical level of its proprietary membrane technology and its ability to scale that technology into commercial production.

Also on October 12, Alioth hosted a product launch at the New Materials Lounge in Hall 7.2H. Chris Ma, Vice President of Strategy and Marketing, presented “Membrane Innovation for Safer Biomanufacturing,” walking the audience through the technology behind the award-winning products.
Alipore® ZHC Series — Proprietary-Membrane Sterilizing Filters
Alioth's first sterilizing-grade filter built on its in-house sterilizing membrane, the ZHC series advances on three fronts: the base membrane chemistry, a multilayer co-cast manufacturing process, and a proprietary hydrophilic modification. In real protein feeds, filtration capacity reaches 130%–230% of comparable leading products. Protein and Tween adsorption drop by more than 80% versus conventional PES membranes, and bacterial retention and integrity hold steady through 50 cycles of non-pre-wetted SIP sterilization. The filters are suited to buffers, media, post-clarification cell culture fluid, and final sterilizing filtration.
Ali-ViroClear™ — Proprietary Virus-Removal Membrane and Filters
Built on a multilayer, highly asymmetric membrane structure, Ali-ViroClear™ brings a 20 nm virus-removal membrane to in-house development and production. Third-party validation shows capacity exceeding 150% of comparable products in most feeds, helping shorten process time. The series will launch soon and is designed to support viral safety across antibodies, blood products, and other modalities.
From sterilizing to virus-removal filtration, Alioth continues to keep its core membrane technology in its own hands.
