Positioned upstream of depth or sterile filtration, it pre-removes particles, colloids, and turbidity — protecting downstream processes, extending filter service life, reducing costs, and ensuring process continuity. Core products include Alipore^® DPHC high-throughput hydrophilic PES pre-filters (0.45/0.65/0.8/1.2 μm), Aligard^® MHF high-flow hydrophilic MCE pre-filters (0.45 μm), Aligard^® PHF high-performance PP clarification filters, and SHF PSF membrane filters (0.2/0.45 μm), available in capsule and cartridge formats for lab-to-production use. Key advantages include high throughput, high loading capacity, and broad chemical compatibility (pH 1–14), enabling longer filtration cycles and lower unit processing costs. Applications include buffer filtration, bioburden control filtration, chromatography and UF system protection for mAbs, recombinant proteins, vaccines and other biologics; and particle control filtration for process water and buffers.
