The Alipore® EZ Series represents a new generation of sterilizing-grade filters developed using Alioth’s proprietary membrane technology. "EZ," derived from "Easy," signifies our commitment to providing customers with more effortless and confident solutions across three key dimensions: filtration efficiency, operational experience, and risk control.

Multi-layer Asymmetric Membrane Pore Structure | Reliable Bacterial Retention Performance

The multi-layer highly asymmetric membrane pore structure enhances both dirt-holding capacity and throughput, allowing for the processing of larger feed volumes and saving filtration time. This effectively shortens the filtration cycle and boosts overall production efficiency.

2. Greater Convenience: No Pre-wetting Needed for Sterilization

Simplified Sterilization Procedures | Lower Risk of Integrity Test Failures

With stable hydrophilicity and wettability, the filters can be sterilized without pre-wetting, simplifying the sterilization process and reducing the risk of integrity test failures.

In traditional sterilization processes, the pre-wetting step not only increases operational time but can also lead to differential pressure issues due to inadequate wetting, thereby elevating the risk of filter damage. The Alipore® EZ Series supports direct sterilization, resulting in a shorter process and more controllable risks, making it particularly suitable for scenarios requiring PUPSIT (Pre-use Post-sterilization Integrity Testing).

  • Passed bacterial retention and integrity tests after 50 consecutive SIP cycles at 135°C without pre-wetting.

  • Maintained stable wettability (verified by bubble point and diffusive flow data) after continuous drying at 80°C for 7 days.

Media Filtration Without Compromising Cell Growth | Final Sterile Filtration Without Fear of Protein Loss

With reliable bacterial retention, sterile filtration is more reassuring. The low protein absorption mitigates the risk of losing critical components during cell culture media filtration and minimizes the absorption loss of precious feedstocks during final sterile filtration.

  • Protein absorption levels are significantly lower than those of mainstream PES membranes on the market, comparable to PVDF membranes.

The Ali-ViroClear™ Virus Removal Filter resolves the industry pain point where traditional single-layer membranes struggle to balance throughput/dirt-holding capacity with virus retention efficiency. Beta testing (conducted in actual pharmaceutical manufacturing environments) across more than 20 customers has provided multiple validations of the Ali-ViroClear™ membrane's performance, with results surpassing those of top international products in the majority of projects.
